Hi Selvakumar.A,

Sorry, that's not possible. Postfix is a mail server only. You need LDAP for that which is a totally different service. See my Fedora Directory Server article.

Hi Lindsay,

You'll have to contact your webhosting in America to fix that issue.

Hi,
I am sending an email through our server which is running ubuntu 8.04.

Our webhosting is located in America. When I send an email to an email address that doesn't exist, I don't get a bounce back error message. If I send and email directly to the webhosting email server, and the email address doesn't exist, I do get a bounce back.

If I send an email through our server through a different webhosting located in Australia, and the email address doesn't exist, I do get a bounce back.

Does anyone know how I can rectify this that I can receive a bounce back email from the webhosting in America if the email address doesn't exist?

Thanks

Hi,
I can send mail linux server’s user by Telnet. But I cannot receive for real email. It means I cannot send to outside. How can I configure postfix or others?

Thanks,
