Mr. Consultant, now it is working. I dont know what was the issue earlier. I copied and pasted the statement given by you. Then tried once, it didnt work. After that I restarted the PC once and checked once, now it is working fine. I dont know what was the mistake earlier, I think I missed space(not exactly). Anyway thanks for the quick response from you. This is very good article, we will be happy if this website produces more good articles in linux. It is required to restart everytime, when we change anything.

Hi Basheer,

Please double check your pop3_uidl_format in /etc/dovecot.conf. Make sure it is the same as the one below and there should be only one of it which is not commented.

pop3_uidl_format = %08Xu%08Xv

imap_client_workarounds = delay-newmail outlook-idle netscape-eoh

gives an error:CAPACTIY connecting with squirrelmail from another machine.

uncommenting it works fine - so long.

IF your using sendmail and the maildir format you also need to stick the following into
/etc/procmailrc (It doesn't exist by default so create it)

One line eg. in the users home folder.
DEFAULT=$HOME/Maildir/

or whatever the same path that you used in
mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir/
