                 Can you guide me to configure ftp site on rhel5. Now I configured ftp site but it actually opening on firefox but in IE its not showing the exact ftp folder instead it shows full  root diectory contents on the site.

       I found the solution for the above problem, just we need to uncomment the follow

ing two lines in the vsftp configuration file /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf

chroot_list_enable=YES

chroot_list_file=/etc/vsftpd/chroot_list

create the file /etc/vsftpd/chroot_list and add the list of ftp users .so that they will be locked to their home directory they mentioned.By doing this IE will show the exact ftp folder you shared.
