Hi Team,

I am new member. So  "Hello to all".Laugh

I am trying to setup 389 directory server on my Fedora 12 setup.  I am able to get it worked (phpldapamin can connect and show user). I can see 389-console is working fine and can see created people.

I want to use it to authenticate other system(s). My doubts are:-

1. How to check the 389 is working (ldapsearch … shows the people name).

2. Do I have to create these user actually in Server using adduser etc. or LDAP will create it along with Home directory.

3. How to see if client can see the server for authentication.

4. ssh <username>@hostIP tries to connect byt fail after three attemps.

Any help or link in this direction will be great.

Thanks in advance.

Regard
