Hi

This my /var/log/mail.log file, mails stuck in the  /var/spool/postfix/hold directory. when i comment the line header_check in the main.cf its working without spamassasin or mailscanner

where is the problem please help

Hmmm… Even the longer log shows no problem. Please check the following

 

1. What's the value of virus scanners? It should be clamd

2. Is clamd running? Try typing clamdscan, see if it scans.

3. What's the value of Clamd Socket? It should be /var/run/clamav/clamd.sock

4. Check if /var/run/clamav/clamd.sock exists

I already installed clamav using the same link,and configured using ur steps, and i tested with the eicar test file and it was working.  its not working after installing mailscanner and spam assassin.

 

if you want me to post any file content i will post

Above line added in main.cf ( what it is for? )  and now it is scanning the mails, but not delivering mail to users inbox

last week i had changed some configuration, but i dont remember what it was

instead of 25 it was 26 i changed this to 25 now the mail server is working
