Hi All,

How long does Postgrey hold an email?

Does it just hold emails for 300 seconds, and then pass them on?

When I turn on Postgrey, no inbound emails are delivered. Outbound emails leave the server, no problem. But inbound are not delivered – even after 20 minutes.

If I whitelist a domain, then inbound emails from that domain will be delivered immediately.

Any ideas as to why Postgrey won't deliver email not on the whitelist?

Hi All,

 

More info is in man postgrey.

The default is 5 minutes.

After reading some more, I think that the email client I am using is non-compliant, so it isn't retrying. I'll experiment some more and see where I get.
