G'day again consultant,

 

I've been working through this tutorial: http://www.linuxmail.info/post…..responder/ , and got stuck early on when attempting to run my ./vacation.pl script. I've installed postfix admin happily, and complied the vacation.pl script OK.

 

Simply, i wasn't sure what password i should be using with my vacation local user.. whether the password matters, and whether i should have perhaps specified this in a file somewhere?

 

Therefore, when i attempt to run my script, i get:

[root@mail vacation]# ./vacation.pl
bash: ./vacation.pl: /usr/bin/perl: bad interpreter: Permission denied

 

any thoughts would be great, thanks again!

Hi again all,

 

this one's resolved. I've been doing things a little differently (ie. i've mounted an external drive in /etc/fstab to use as my mail folder, and i had to change my mounting from:

/etc/fstab:
/dev/sda2 /media/LACIE2 ext3 defaults,user 0 0
to:
/etc/fstab:
/dev/sda2 /media/LACIE2 ext3 defaults,user,exec 0 0
