Hi consultant,

                     I have followed your instructions regarding restricting user to send mail to distribution list. But now the user is not able to send mail outside the domain.

example:-

my sender_access file contains

xxx.com OK

abb@xxx.com disallow_list1

my disallow_list1 file contains

xxx.com OK

group@xxx.com REJECT

                  IF the user abb@xxx.com try to send mail to google.com it is showing access denied error.If i put entry in disallow_list1 file as google.com Ok its allowing to send.But we cant give explicity all domains in diallow_list1.what is the configuration needed in disallow_list1 file to allow user to send mail to all domains except the restricted mail id.please guide me to solve this issue.

                 Thanks in advance ConfusedConfused

Try reversing the condition

smtpd_restriction_classes = except_local
except_local = check_recipient_access hash:/etc/postfix/local_domains, ok
/etc/postfix/local_domains
group@xxx.com reject

HI consultant,

                    Now i can able to send the mail to outside domains by making changes in main.cf file.

smtpd_restriction_classes = disallow_list1

disallow_list1 = check_recipient_access hash:/etc/postfix/disallow_list1

                   We dont want to include OK or REJECT clause here, since it excepts OK or REJECT clause for every domain we try to send to be included in disallow_list1.

my sender_access file contains

abb@xxx.com disallow_list1

my disallow_list1 file contains

group@xxx.com REJECT

                     Now the user abb@xxx.com try to send mail to outside domains and to the local domain, he can able to send except the restricted email id mention in the disallow_list1 group@xxx.com.After making these changes it works fine and meets my requiremnts.

                                 Thanks for your help,consultant.SurprisedSurprised
