Hi…
Can anybody tell how can i enable ldap server in RHEL5 , i have opened pachage managaer ( add/remove prohrams ) but i observerd only ldap client is showing , ldap server is not found any ware , i installed all the packages . please suggest .

Can you explain more about what you are trying to accompilish?
As far as openldap packages go all you need is openldap-2.3.43-3.el5 and openldap-clients-2.3.43-3.el5
For administation I use Fedora Directory Server, now called 389 Directory Server
See the install guide on this forum or use the documentation from the 389 site.

Hi…Max,,
i am using RHEL 5 linux server with full installation , when i open package manager and found only " openLDAP-Client 2.3.27-5.i386-client programs for openLDAP" why i am unable to see open LDAP server on add/remove programs, how can i install openLDAP server in RHEL5, please suggest ASAP.

I'm assuming you have paid for the RedHat licence and registered it with RedHat via the rhn_resiter command?
Is so open a terminal and type "yum install openldap*"
