Linux Mail Server Setup and Howto Guide

Hi,

i allready posted this but maybe i posted it in the wrong place, so here it is again

i am trying to make dovecot to use my 389-directory server but when i start it i get this error

Oct 19 02:26:14 mail dovecot: Dovecot v1.0.7 starting up

Oct 19 02:26:14 mail dovecot: auth(default): LDAP: ldap_init() failed with hosts: ldap://server.hashab.com/
Oct 19 02:26:14 mail dovecot: child 5950 (auth) returned error 89

here is my dovecot-ldap.conf:

hosts = ldap://server.hashab.com/
base = dc=hashab,dc=com
ldap_version = 3
auth_bind = yes
pass_filter = (&(objectclass=person)(uid=%u))

any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

here is the error in the log:

mail dovecot: auth(default): ldap(sarah@hashab.com,::ffff:127.0.0.1): ldap_bind() failed: No such object
