HostMonster is a low cost, shared Linux web hosting provider. With so many web hosting companies found on the internet, why should you choose HostMonster? I’ve been to a few web hosting companies. Some gave me nothing but headaches. Others are ok, but I was getting sophisticated and so I was looking for more. Thank God I finally found HostMonster. Below are my reasons for sticking here.
Live Chat
There are instances when my site is having a problem. But whenever I need help, support is just a chat away. Beats dictating over the phone or waiting for a reply on the email.
WordPress
WordPress is a state-of-the-art publishing platform. Included support for installing WordPress makes it a cinch to launch and maintain a great looking website. I’m not a graphic artist, but thanks to the abundance of professionally designed themes for WordPress, I can create a nice looking site fast.
CPU Throttling
Since hosting is shared among many customers, CPU throttling ensures that none of my neighbor’s websites can adversely affect my own websites. To ensure my own websites are not hogging CPU resources and be throttled myself, I installed the WP Super Cache WordPress plugin. Now, my websites responds faster and scales better. Currently, only HostMonster and its sister company has this feature.
Unlimited Domains, Hosting Space and Site Bandwidth
The standard package includes one free domain. But I can add as many domains and websites as I want. Hard disk space and bandwidth are cheap nowadays so the only limiting factor is my CPU usage which I’ve taken care of using the WP Super Cache WordPress plugin.
Awstats
Awstats is a free powerful and featureful tool that generates advanced web statistics. Awstats and Google Analytics helps me keep an eye on the performance of my sites.
The regular package prices are $6.95 a month for a 36 month account, $7.95 a month for a 24 month account, and $8.95 a month for a 12 month account.
P.S. For a very limited time, the hosting packages are available for a special promo price of $5.95 a month so act now.
