This article describes how to setup a new mail account in Microsoft Windows Live Mail.

1. Click Add an e-mail account.

2. Fill in E-mail address, Password, Display Name and check Manually configure server settings for e-mail account. Click Next when you are done.

3. Fill in Incoming server, Login ID, Outgoing server and check My outgoing server requires authentication. Click Next when you are done.

4. Click Finish.

How to Add a Mail Account in Evolution

This article describes how to setup a new mail account in Evolution.

1. Click Edit and click Preferences. This will launch the Evolution Preferences window.

2. Click Add. This will start the Evolution Account Assistant wizard.

3. Click Forward in the Mail Configuration page.

4. Fill in the Identity page and click Forward when you are done.

5. Select POP for the Server Type and fill in Server and Username fields. You can check Remember password if you want Evolution to save your password.

6. Review the settings in the Receiving Options page and click Forward when you are done.

7. Fill in the Server field. You can check Remember password if you want Evolution to save your password. Click Forward when you are done.

8. Provide a descriptive name in the Name field and click Forward when you are done.

This article describes how to setup a new mail account in Microsoft Outlook 2007.

1. Click Tools and click Account Settings. This will launch the Account Settings window.

2. Click New. This will start the Add New E-mail Account wizard.

3. Check Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click Next.

4. Click the Next button in the Choose E-mail Service page.

5. Fill in the User Information, Server Information and Logon Information sections.

6. Click the More Settings button. In the Internet E-mail Settings window, click the Outgoing Server tab and check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Click Ok when you’re done.

7. Click the Test Account Settings button. Check the results and click Close when you’re done. If the test succeeds, click Next. Otherwise, make the necessary corrections.

8. Click Finish.

2. Click Add and click Mail. This will start the Internet Connection wizard.

3. Fill in the Display Name field and click the Next button.

4. Fill in the E-mail address field and click the Next button.

5. Fill in the Incoming mail and Outgoing mail fields. Click Next when you’re done.

6. Fill in the Account name and Password fields. Click Next when you’re done.

7. Click the Finish button.

8. Select the newly created mail account and click the Properties button.

9. Click the Servers tab and check My server requires authentication. Click Ok when you’re done.
